Gravity Microwave Separator
Gravity microwave separator has a variety of structural forms, but its main separation function is to use the production medium and the separation of the material density difference (that is, the gravity field of the difference in the severity) to achieve, so called gravity separator. Gravity microwave separators can be divided into two phases (gas-liquid separation) and three phases (oil-gas-water separation) according to their functions. According to the shape can be divided into vertical separator, horizontal separator and spherical separator.
Gravity separator has a variety of structural forms, but its main separation function is achieved by the density difference between the production medium and the separated substance (that is, the gravity difference in the gravity field), so it is called gravity separator. Natural gas is a non-toxic, colorless and odorless gas, its main component is methane. The density of natural gas is 0.7174Kg/m3 and the relative density is 0.5548(i.e. the density of air is 1, and the density of natural gas relative to air is 0.5548) at 0 () and 101 325kPa (1 atmospheric pressure). The density of crude oil under standard conditions (20 degrees, 0.1 MPa) is 0.81 tons/3m.
According to its function, gravity separator can be divided into two-phase separation (gas-liquid separation) and three-phase separation (oil-gas-water separation). According to the shape, it can be divided into vertical separator, horizontal separator and spherical separator. The advantages and disadvantages of each shape separator are compared in terms of separation efficiency, fluid stability after separation, adaptability of changing conditions, flexibility of operation, processing capacity, processing foaming crude oil and installation space.
